We were walking around the mall when we stumbled upon Animaland. We already knew this was a cute build-a-stuffed-toy kind of shop, but learning about these cute “I Dolls” made my husband and I go “Awwww!”. It was pretty easy to get. Here’s what happens when you want to get one of these dolls:

The shop merchant takes a picture of your kid (or you if you want!) using their store camera. The tough part was getting the toddler to stand still to get a cute smile! Oh, you precious little active toddler you. If you want to use your own picture, you can save it on a USB drive and share it with the shop. The shop merchant then prints it on some kind of nifty 3D paper, then slides the picture in to your choice of stuffed toy. There are a lot to choose from.

The shop merchant told us that it’s one of the most popular items in the store. He shared that it’s a popular item for party giveaways. I think it’d be more special if they had this service AT a party, sort of like those popular pop-up photo booths.

We were so charmed by the dolls that H and I got one each — a frog for me (since Timmy’s into Leapfrog now) and a panda for H (since Timmy’s a huge Kung Fu Panda fan). The frog now sits on my work desk at home, and the panda is on H’s desk at his office. Cuteness for inspiration!

The idea is you replace the images with your own. We’ve been planning to put in Timmy’s pictures in place of these stock images, but obviously haven’t gotten around to it. The babies are cute anyway, so no rush!

Where did we get this? I’ll let you do the guessing by sharing my conversation with my Dad:

Me: “Daddy, where did you get the clock again?”
My Dad: “In Trinoma. Near the food court. At the store where they sell Beatles stuff.”

This has GOT to me by favorite area at home. Right smack in front of the computer. Seated on a cozy, cozy, cozy baby comforter.

Most crib comforters are the perfect size for an office chair. Just throw one over that plain ol’ chair and you’ve got yourself some happy seating. The baby designs add a little whimsy to the room too, don’t you think?

With Timmy’s toys now decking our Christmas tree, last year’s shiny balls now spruce up the outdoors.

Sometimes a little red is all you need to make natural greens become even more vibrant.

I’m suddenly craving apples. And cherries.

We also went technicolor on two of our outdoor plants. The rainbow of colors was playful and made for a nice break from seeing red.

These balls no longer had their strings so Mama improvised with paperclips.

Not so bad, eh? Can you see me in those balls?

Star Wars Pancake Molds A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… Yoda pancakes! Stormtrooper pancakes! Darth Vader pancakes! Methinks Sheldon Cooper needs to see this. It’d match his Darth Vader toaster very well. (via)
