Soy Milk with Collagen

When I first saw these milk packs in Bangkok, I was immediately curious. Collagen in my soy milk? Game!

I bought the milk because my friend told me it was a good brand, was delicious, and I liked the little bean mascot. And fine, it had me at “collagen.” I admit it! I was intrigued!

Ah the promises of collagen. Will my lips plump up like Angelina Jolie’s? Will my wrinkles disappear? If I use it for bathing, will my skin become firmer? These are all crazy thoughts now! Please don’t take them seriously. My friends and I had a blast making up stories of what would happen because of the collagen.

The milk tasted like regular soy milk. Yummy! I’m not going to use that for bathing. Hell no!

Apparently the folks in Thailand seem to love their collagen. It’s the “hot ingredient,” my friend shared. There was a pack of dried fish chips being sold — with collagen too! Collagen in pills and beauty products I understand. Collagen in food — interesting! Just think of it as anti-aging food. Nice.

For now I’ll enjoy my last few tetra packs of this soy milk. I’m sure I’ll need to consume tons of this product before whatever benefit collagen has kicks in. That’s fine. What matters now is that it tastes great, is healthy and keeps me company while I blog. *winks back at the mascot*

Are these available in Manila too? I am a soy milk drinker myself and an additional healthy ingredient would be great 😉 I’ll probably get some when I get back.

That’s what my husband drinks. We get his stash in Clark (Puregold) kasi it’s cheaper there. And it comes in malt, chocolate, and capuccino flavor pa. He’s lactose intolerant so this is his way of getting his calcium requirements.

Common na common ang soya drinks dito sa Sg but I failed to notice kung merong may collagen content. Mabanggit nga kay esmi. May effect ba talaga?!
