Yummy Food from Flavours of China

Yummy food post alert! H and I went to Flavours of China a couple of months ago, but I didn’t get to write about it. I took some pictures of our delicious food and ta-da! I’m sharing them with you now. Sarap ‘no?

Our meal started with a serving of kropek (prawn crackers). Ah well, you know how you tell yourself you’ll only get one piece but then you end up eating almost the whole bowl? That’s the effect kropek has. Damn that deep-fried saltiness. But anyway we didn’t finish the whole bowl because we didn’t want to spoil our appetite for our main course.

We got Scallops with Asparagus and Steamed Fish Fillet with Superior Sauce. Uh-oh, I don’t remember the exact dish names, but they look pretty much correct from the pictures, right. They were both so delicious! The scallops were melt-in-your-mouth good and the asparagus stalks were so fresh and juicy too. The fish fillet was awesome. The light soy sauce complemented the steamed flavor of the fish very well.

Can you see me?

I washed that all down with a yummy Watermelon Shake. Aaaaah. And of course, we had a pot of hot Chinese tea too. No meal at a Chinese restaurant would be complete without that.

The service was okay, the ambiance casual, the parking good. The branch we went to was at Thompson’s Square, Tomas Morato Ave. in Quezon City. Flavours of China also has a branch along Makati Ave. (near Jollibee).

So… what’s Chinese for Bon Appetit? :)

oo nga ano nga ba chinese for bon apetit? anyway, looked like you had a great meal there…is the price reasonable? good chinese food is so hard to come by, when i was little, there was this tiny resto in binondo that my aunts and uncles would take us to…masarap yung sweet and sour fish at tsaka yung noodles nila…now if only i can remember the name of that place….have a happy weekend, tones! HUGS!

hmmm you’re making me hungry big time.

i’m not a big fan of fried fish as such, but when i saw your pics with the steamed fish.. it made me crave for some fishy fishy meal too!

    oh joy!
