Strawberry taho from Baguio

Strawberry taho? It’s more fun in Baguio! Well, I’m guessing it’s only fun in Baguio too as you can only get strawberry taho from that region. It has the same soy base as regular taho, and the expected sago (pearls). What makes it different is the strawberry syrup and some strawberry chunks.

A small glass is Php15.00. Not a bad price especially if you’re in need of a little refreshment after a day of shopping. While I prefer regular taho hot, this one I prefer cold. It must be the strawberries, as it tastes like a soy strawberry smoothie to me.

I got a taste of this treat at Minesview. You can catch taho vendors in Baguio selling strawberry taho at Burnham Park as well.

Have you tried strawberry taho yet? What did you think of it? If not, are you willing to give it a try? :)

I tried this before but just didn’t enjoy it… then again, I only love eating fresh strawberries. I somehow never liked anything else be it strawberry milkshake, strawberry cheesecake.

Looks pretty good and delicious but I’d still prefer the traditional taho flavor. Warm and sweet. :)

I tried one in Tam-awan (sp?) village, and it wasn’t that good. The best one I had was at the strawberry farm up in La Trinidad. Yum. It felt extra special because there were strawberry plants around me while I was eating that. :D

I love strawberry taho! We used to go to Baguio a lot a couple of years ago when my brother was in the PMA (he has since resigned, thank God), and our trips were always heartbreaking and sad, this was one of the few things I looked forward to on our trips there. Sipping strawberry taho was always comforting for me.
