What a tough question! Maybe they still can! For me, personally, I'm a girl, but I played a whole lot with those while I was a kid! Tonka trucks, Transformers & GI Joe action figures, crazy video games like Star Force & Top Gun, & backyard war games with the boys, among other things! I still play Warbook & Warcraft 3 by my lonesome (i.e., on skirmish) & Tekken 5DR or 6BR for some reason. Maybe I took after my dad, who was in the military & had to make do with weaponry & stratagem & aviation & survival. War games taught me a lot of things. Think The Art of War by Sun Tzu.

Now my question is, if there's this one toy that you can still play up to this very day, what would that be?

whether it's a boy or a girl, i'd still go with LEGO. there's something in that toy that makes them want to create things and imagine. those innocent blocks that they tinker with make them think early on. once that's developed in them, they'll carry it on until they grow up.

that's a good thing!

my question: do toy guns, swords, action figures, war vehicles serve any purpose in a child's growth and development?

I remember it was a doll that sang, walked, and was as tall as me. I took good care of it and it was always displayed in our living room but now I don't have any idea where it is. We moved to the metro and maybe it was given away already.

If you can afford buy your child (or future child) only one kind of toy what would it be?

I still love board games such as Scrabble, Millionaire's Game and Cluedo. Even though my Nintendo's are all junk, I still miss playing Super Mario and other Nintendo games, good thing I can play with them using my PSP. :)

Q: What is the most expensive toy you have received? Did you keep it?

yes! I've kept it for so long I don't even remember where I've kept it. But surely I'll remember where I'd put it.. haha. I still remember those teddy bears and the "my first sony" toy I had... haha.. it's still with me but I am sort of "preserving" it for future use.. haha.
Q: What is your all time favorite toy that even up to now you still would want to play it?

Yes, I always wanted to have a dollhouse complete with miniature furniture and dolls. I still might get myself one eventually. :-)

Have you kept any of your toys from childhood?

Q: Was there ever a toy that you hate receiving?

Yes, that'd be Barbie. I was a kid who preferred books over toys. But, another reason is that when I was 6 years old, I played with my older cousin's Barbie doll and I accidentally pulled its head off its neck. That freaked me out and I never wanted to touch Barbie dolls again. Hehehe:)

Q: Was there a toy that you always wanted to have as a kid, but never got?

How do you pick a toy for your kids/niece/nephew/ or any kid whom to give presents to?

A: Something educational is always my first option. If not that, I always ask the parents about the child's preferences.
