I can hear your heartbeat

Oh darn, I missed two Cujo entries and will miss two Weekend Soirees. I also have a bunch of pregnancy tips in the backburner. No worries, I’ll bring this blog back to regular programming soon. I’ll reply to comments next week too! For now, some updates from the not-so-bedside.

Thank you for the encouraging comments, tips and kind words. I enjoy reading them because they sure boost my spirit! I’ve been on house rest for a little over a week now and this time away from work has really helped me become stronger and calmer. Thanks for those who sent text messages too! I’m so touched.

14 weeks now! According to the baby book, s/he is a little bigger than a peach now. Some hair could be sprouting too! Aww, peach fuzz.

Here’s another amazing thing. Today, we heard Timmy’s heartbeat for the first time! We took a short video too. If you’d like to view it, click on Play. You’ll hear the heartbeat about 6-7 seconds into the clip. :)

Man, I was just in awe. Music to my and H’s ears. There is a live human being inside me and it’s just a peaceful and wonderful feeling. And that nifty gadget in the video is called a Doppler, a handheld ultrasound device. Sort of like a microphone ‘no?

Okay back to resting now. I’m grabbing as much sleep and chill out time as I can. :) See you next week!

Take it easy! Get that much needed rest. I know that I am trying to slow down I have been having contractions. I am 28 weeks along now, and have been warned of bed rest if I do not slow down, yikes.

You’re right, hearing your baby’s heartbeat is music to any parent’s ears :) When I had my first ultrasound and we heard and saw the baby’s heartbeat, I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing because in my first pregnancy, there was no heartbeat. So you can just imagine our joy.

Take good care of yourself and the baby, Toni! Don’t overwork yourself. It’s now time for you to live like a queen :)

how fabulous is that sound! :) thanks for posting it up here. I can’t remember which artist it was but they recorded their baby’s heartbeat too and made it into a song. Not sure if it was Prince or Baby Face – but it was a fantastic song! I’ll try to find it and send you the link sometime :)

Oh wow, how creative is that! :D
