Happy Birthday Husbo!
H celebrated his birthday last Tuesday.
We were out on the eve of his birthday, so as soon as we got home I told him to enter the bedroom and not to come out till I said so.
I then unwrapped some foil balloons WHICH I THOUGHT SAID “I LOVE YOU!” Lo and behold, one said “It’s a boy!” and the other had “It’s a girl!” Hahaha. How very appropriate anyway, since we still don’t know our baby’s gender. A good mistake, I suppose! So off to pumping the balloons I went.
Then I took out the cake his gym buddies gave him, and the surprise gift I had bought for him that evening. While I’ve already given him his birthday gift in advance, I felt that it wasn’t right that he didn’t get to unwrap a present on the day of birthday. So I got him another gift.

It was my first time to write a card that said, “Dearest Daddy, They said this was the last piece. I hope you like it. I love you! Love, Timmy.” My heart was all a-flutter.
When all was ready, out of the bedroom came H. I sang him the Happy Birthday song while he smiled warmly. He immediately got the It’s A Girl balloon as soon as he sat down for cake. Yep, now you know which gender he prefers for our baby!

He immediately tore into the present and was surprised that I had got him a book he had been eyeing for a long time. I didn’t even know that! I just thought it was something he’d really enjoy because it was about his all-time favorite Iron Man and his armors. Little did I know I struck gold. Score one for me! Hehe. After giving me a kiss, he immediately had his cake and read the book.
For his birthday lunch, we went to Dampa sa Libis. Here’s what filled the birthday boy’s tummy:

Pancit Bihon – What’s a birthday without noodles? This was sooooooo delicious. I’m still thinking about it! I want to go to Dampa and order just this dish. We had it cooked in China something. Whoops. Forgot the name of the cooking area.

Sinigang na Hipon – sour tamarind broth with shrimp and vegetables. This dish and the dishes that follow were cooked at Kusina ni Manang’s. This was soooo good!

Calamares – deep-fried squid rings. I’m not too fond of squid rings but H loves them, so it was on the menu. They were scrumptious.

Steamed Crab – It was so juicy! Definitely my 2nd favorite dish that lunch time.
All were his requests. The birthday boy’s wish was my command. It was a happy day for the Husbo!
Hop on over to his blog to give him a greeting. I’m sure he’d love it!
I love you Husby! Thank you very much for being a wonderful and loving husband. Love, love, love.
