india, anywhere in india...goa, mumbai, calcutta, agra, kashmir. i have always been fascinated by this country and culture, it's patterns and archetypes, more so after reading an anecdote from w.b. yeats about bengali women who put into music the poetry of rabindranath tagore while working on tea farms. india, to me, is one country that is so conducive to thinking and which is probably why the indians are such an intelligent group of people. despite its abject poverty, i will forever choose the reality of india over the artificiality of las vegas. q. what is your first read of 2009? cbss last blog post..HOLIDAY OF GOOD CHEER
