try using queso de bola for grilled cheese sandwich. my son loves queso de bola when it's grilled because it becomes sticky like mozarella. i also tried using it for cheese lumpia, together with a strip of bell pepper and eggplant. :)

Mauies last blog post..What's Inside Big Boy's Lunch Box #3: Chicken Curry Maki

Thanks for the idea! I was afraid the queso de bola might end up too chewy and tough in a grilled sandwich since it's harder than the usual cheese. You proved it wrong!

It seems no one remembered to buy this for us. Lol. We normally have none left since my two twin brothers devour everything on sight.

Ako naman this year I didn't get any fruitcake at all! Weird. Haha!

Thanks for sharing these great ideas. We'll try some of it.

Queso de bola's (the Marca Pina one) taste is so close to parmesan, so it always ends up grated on our pastas. :) My wife and I call it the "cheap" substitute to parmesan.

Garandos last blog post..It's Cheap and Expensive!

Great! I found some more queso de bola in the fridge. I'll try shaving it over pasta too. Thanks!

oh great ideas!
we don't have queso de bola here, but we always have cheese anyway, everyday of our life. it's one of the three things that the dutch can't live without - cheese, bread and milk. :)

i used to make a hole in the bread too, using a drinking glass to punch the hole. but i have never tried grated cheese on top of the egg! great idea! i will try it now! *grin*

I make homemade cheese pimiento with left over QDB. It's easy just add shredded QDB to mayonnaise, a tsp of lemon juice dice pimiento and a dash of salt...just mix everything. :)

or kaya I ask my mom to make biko (sinaing na malagkit) when it's cook, I drizzle some brown sugar and grate some QDB on top. One of my favorite ito
