V is for Verbose

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

Kaiskee tagged me to write 10 things I love that start with the letter “V.” It took me days to come up with this list. It was very very hard.
1. VERONIKA Decides to Die. This is one of my favorite books. It’s being turned into a movie too. I hope the movie makers do [...]

Husby Funnies

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Some funny exchanges with the man who keeps me young.
Husby, upon seeing tubs of red/orange liquid in the freezer.
Husby: “Jello!!!!!!!”
Wifey: “Er… no Husby, that’s fat-burning soup.”
Husby: (closes the freezer door quickly) “Yuck!!”
*****
We come home so tired from a work day that we just end up plopping on the bed and sleeping straight away. [...]

Weekend Soiree #38: A game of comment interaction

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

The game is easy! I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it!

How to eat healthy without really trying

Friday, September 26th, 2008

1. Throw in a handful of fresh or frozen strawberries into your favorite bowl.
2. Top with chilled yogurt. That’s berry yogurt in the pic above, and regular yogurt in the pic below.
3. Enjoy! You’ve got a naturally sweet and delicious snack that’s good for you. Also great as dessert.

Would you like some?

Isang pisong halo-halo

Falling in love with guacamole all over again

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

Hola! H & I hit the Mexican Food Festival at Mandarin Oriental last week. Our Mexican food experience has always been limited to fastfood (Mexicali, the tacos at Pancake House, Miggy’s). So when we learned about this gourmet Mexican food buffet, we said “Si! Si!” faster than Speedy Gonzalez ever would.

I was looking forward [...]

Today is Wife Appreciation Day

Saturday, September 20th, 2008

Husbands, I know that everyday is Wife Apprecation Day for you. If not, tsk tsk. I hope you’re planning something sweet and nice for your wifeys! You could make breakfast for her, do her share of the chores, give her a foot massage, be her slave for the day, court her all over again… [...]

Even if I was pinched, I would’ve still been dreaming

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Some months ago, I dreamt my celeb crush John Krasinski came to the neighborhood. He lived a few doors down from us. I was soooo excited to meet him.
But I couldn’t find anything to wear.
So I ended up just sleeping and then dreaming I was kissing him.
I was dreaming that I was dreaming that I [...]
