Weekend Soiree #34: A game of comment interaction

The game is easy! I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it! ;)

To make things more fun, the questions have to reflect the chosen theme. For example, if the theme is COOKING, all questions should relate to that topic. Do you have a recipe you call your own? When was the last time you cooked a meal totally from scratch? As much as possible, let’s not repeat the questions for added fun! You are also welcome to play more than once.

Let’s go a little nostalgic with our 34th weekend soiree!

The theme: THE PAST

The question: What song brings back memories of a past love of yours?

Not really a past love but good times with friends – Laughter in the Rain by Neil Sedaka. And there are enough songs in my past to make a soundtrack.

    Any regrets about the past?

Yes a lot. I wasted a lot of time during my college years, instead of having a good time with my friends and school programs. I choose to spend my time with my bf then. Hay…wala tuloy ako masyado extra curricular sa school. Sayang!

My Haligi literally wouldn’t hurt a fly. Even if we’ve got mosquito bites all over, he’d rather just capture the mosquito/es and then set them free outside the window. Frustrating and endearing at the same time :)

What do you think you were in your past life?

    mavers last blog post..NOW SHOWING

  7. witsandnuts Says:

Hmmm… I really try to avoid having any regrets over what I may have done or didn’t do but if it had to be one thing, I’d say it was not saving enough while I was still single.

What fashion trend do you now wish you’d never followed?

Faulkner’s The Sound and the Fury. I read it when I was in 2nd year college and it haunts me all the way to the present – the disturbing effect caused by the dysfunction of the Compson family hit me during my most sensitive years and it seems to cling on to my memory forever.

    Q. when somebody did you wrong, did you tend to forgive but not forget? Is it even possible?

    cbss last blog post..LEARNING RUSSIAN

A: Nothing. I’m too afraid to alter the past because it might negatively affect what I have now.

Q: Do you like reminiscing about the past when you see old friends?

Rach (Heart of Rachel)s last blog post..Weekend Snapshot #40

  21. GabbyD Says:

A: No i don’t coz i have a poor memory and i usually don’t remember the past as well as they do, so i can’t contribute…

Q: What do you do when you and an old friend drifts apart? When do you know to call it (the investment in the relationship) quits?

  22. judith Says:

A: it is very difficult to end a friendship but it did happen to me. when you find yourself not wanting to be with your friend anymore, and he/she feels the same, and you refuse to talk about it because it is not in your personality to do so, then they are sure signs that it is time to let go. you dont have to necessarily be enemies, but just two people no longer in sync with likes and dislikes, sufficiently so that you can still remain friends. and when you stop seeing each other and you dont miss the company at all, that tells you you made a correct decision. you just move on.

Q: A time machine brings you back to your high school graduation. Any vivid memories to tell?

  23. JM Says:

A: My high school graduation night was good, but I was just starting to feel the affects of what would take me to the hospital the next day and make me miss my grad party: dehydration and pneumonia. Fun! Haha.

Q: One life decision that has directly influence where/who you are today?

  24. Meeya Says:

moving with hubby abroad, leaving my comfort zone behind. it changed my life and my outlook on so many levels that i can’t even begin to count. :)

what event in your past will you never ever regret doing?

  25. JM Says:

I can copy your answer for that one! Leaving my comfort zone. :) The day I flew across the world to be with the man who is now my husband.

What was the first movie you fell in love with and could watch over and over?

  26. pistachio Says:

I would have to say, The Sound of Music. I know all the songs and dialogue by heart, and still cry, swoon and laugh at the same old parts. I’ve fallen in love with other movies since then (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Cinema Paradiso etc.) but the earliest one was definitely Sound of Music.

Q: What food or dish, upon taking one bite, instantly transports you back to a specific place and time in your childhood?
