Champorado and Co.

Triple Chocolate Champorado from Max’s. Triple mmm mmm mmm. I had this when I met some Berks friends for breakfast a few weeks ago. While I still dream about this dish, it wasn’t the highlight of that Tuesday’s breakfast. It was meeting one of my long-time blogging friends, Sachiko!

Sachiko was visiting from Japan. While she told us stories about her Philippine vacation, she passed around Japanese treats. The champorado filled me up, so I took one of those Japanese pancakes home instead. It was delicious!

This is one of the Japanese snacks she shared with us. There were some fried noodles and nuts in the pack. No signs of panda fish.

There are a gazillion people in this world, so count yourself blessed when you find yourself a family of sincere friends online. Sachiko is one of those. I’m so happy I finally got to meet her.

And here’s our little Berks family, the Manila chapter. From left to right, that’s me, Sachiko, Karla, Jojo (Mec’s husband) carrying Yakee (their son), Ajay, Mec and Dr. Emer. We’re missing a couple more Manila Berks though(Apol! Mari! Nick! Tito Rolly!). I ♥ the Berks. I know that even when we’re all old and grey we’ll still get together for breakfast dates.
Don’t you just love hanging out with your dearest friends? Hmm. Maybe I should have called this entry Company and champorado.

When was champeee introduced in Max’s? I’m mouthwatered.
Kakamiss. I’m not sure if that was already there during one of my despedidas last January.
