What snacks are in your bag?

I try to carry food with me everywhere I go. You never know when you’ll be caught in traffic with a rumbling tummy, or when your kid or friend suddenly goes cranky because of hunger. Snacks to the rescue!

Chocolate melts quickly, especially in this tropical weather. Granola bars go too sticky on me. Bananas turn to mush. I usually have a small bag of nuts or a little pouch of cereal. They’re crunchy, yummy and healthy too! I munched on some on the ride to work this morning. Then I also have a dalanghita (mandarin orange) in my bag for a little Vitamin C boost later.

Do you carry snacks in your bag? What works well? What doesn’t? Share the snack love!

I normally don’t carry snacks on my bag but if and when I do, most probably it would be crackers (skyflakes, if we have them on stock) or an orange, an apple or pear.

    That makes for healthy snacking.

Fruit flavoured Mentos. Those ‘chewy dragee’ lollies that are so addictive! But it has to be the fruit variety and the pink coloured ones are my faves!

That is what is in my bag atm, along with those sesame seed sweet snap things. Don’t know if you have them in other parts of the world though (http://www.goldendays.com.au/pages/sesame_snaps.htm).

And I totally agree….tropical weather is not good for chocolate…that is why I keep mine in the fridge! Lol!

Aww haven’t tried those sesame snaps yet! Looks yummy!

because of the kids, we always bring something to munch. it could be skyflakes, eggnog, bread stix, ritz cheese crackers or honey stars.

i seldom bring a bag to work. i often have mints in my pocket- a box of mentos lime or tic tac strong mints. when i do bring a bag, i have there a nutella sandwich, an apple or cookies.

since it’s a long travel from my house to where i work, i eat while stuck in traffic then get some more sleep.

    Wow, nutella sandwich.

    Mmmmmmmm!
