Ten years after

Too bad I don’t have any “before” photos. My college batch had its 10th year reunion last week, and it was pretty awesome (and a little Twilight zone-ish) to see those familiar faces again. Good thing we were wearing name tags! While I did recall most of my batchmates by face, their names escaped me. I didn’t forget any of the names of my freshman homeroom classmates though! We did weather our first year in college together after all!

Ten years. I can’t believe it’s been ten years since we all graduated. I had a lot of wonderful college memories. Wow, intense ones, really. And throughout those four years in college, I had a solid group of friends. They’re still the companions I run to till now, in happiness and sadness. Our group isn’t complete here as some of our dearest friends are based outside the country, and others were outside the city. Still, there’s the e-group that keeps us all in touch.

My college batch is pretty solid. Everyone was warm towards each other. There was a case of mistaken identity once in awhile (I was thought to be another batchmate with the same name, haha), but those little booboos were quickly put aside and the laughter carried on. Thanks to my friend Rowie and the rest of the organizers for putting together a reunion party that totally kicked ass. Till the grand alumni homecoming in December then? ;)

it’s very easy to have reunions nowadays thanks to today’s technology. it must have been difficult to organize reunions back in the days of our parents. e ngayon mag-egroups at mag-friendster lang, ayos na =D

Yes! Thank goodness for technology. It doesn’t make everyone seem so far away.

fun! nakaka-nostalgic no? siguro you spent the evening talking about your old teachers, and crushes, and lakwatsas, and cheat-mates, and what-have-yous! so, did the most-likely-to-suceed people succeed? :)

Exactly, exactly, exactly. Those were the things we talked about. And yes, those expected to succeed, did succeed!
