Weekend Soiree #12: A game of comment interaction

What's on TV?

The rules are easy. I will ask a question. The first person who comments will answer my question, and will leave a question for the next person to answer. This next person will answer that question, and leave a question for the next next person to answer. I am sure you get it! ;)

To make things more fun, the questions have to reflect the chosen theme. For example, if the theme is SEDUCTION, all questions should be relate to anything seductive. How do you put yourself in that kind of mood? What do you find most seductive in Brad Pitt? As much as possible, let’s not repeat the questions for added fun! You are also welcome to play more than once.

Let’s settles ourselves on the couch for our twelfth weekend soiree!

The theme: TV

My question for Person #1: Which TV family would you want to be a part of?

  1. Em Dy Says:

The Partridge family are musical but too chirpy. Ditto for the Brady Bunch. Seventh Heaven is too preachy.

I’d like to be part of The Addams family – they are funny and flawed.

Do you watch Koreanovelas? What’s your favorite?

  2. odette Says:

i love koreanovelas! lovers in paris and full house were hits for me, i have copies of the whole episodes. the rest that followed were quite forgettable (sounds like simon cowell).

What TV show inspired you to do great things? Please tell us why.

  4. abbie Says:

I have to say The Oprah Winfrey Show. Oprah continually inspires me to be better. Too bad I just can’t watch her show as much as I like to. ^^

Q: What is the earliest cartoon program you could remember?

  5. nina Says:

I think Popeye in the early 80s. Hehehehe. I remember, I envy my brother because he is able to watch popeye since he doesn’t go to school yet.

When you were a kid, do you remember fighting with your siblings or anyone in the house because their favorite TV show is the same time slot as your own favorite TV show? If yes, do you remember which shows?

  6. wangbu Says:

A: I think it was my TV Patrol vs my brother’s PBA on TV. There were frequent domestic battles which ended when our parents agreed to buy another TV. That solution was of course perfect.

Q: Can you recall a supposedly irritating movie or anime show which was repeatedly shown at night during your childhood?

  7. Toni Says:

An irritating movie or anime show repeatedly shown? Hmmmm.

Nope, not really. I remember what kept me up late were those darn talk shows. I say “darn” because while I really liked watching them, they really kept me from waking up early the next morning!

Are you into this “Kapuso” vs. “Kapamilya” camps?

  8. ayen Says:

Hmm, not much in the sense that I don’t follow their constant bickering. But I must admit that I am a true and loyal Kapamilya. Amidst the controversies. hehe. :)

Do you watch shows at the Lifestyle Network? What is your favorite show from the network?

  9. maggie Says:

yup. my favorite is food finds.

Q: Anyone remember Smurfs the series?

  10. Jayme Says:

All I remember is they’re blue and cute. :D

Q: If you could host your own TV show, what would it be about?

  11. nina Says:

I want to host a TRAVEL show with Food and Shopping on the side! I love travelling, eating good food and shopping! I think those three topics is ME.

Which local telenovela (past or present) you watch everyday and why do you like it?

  12. Rach (Heart of Rachel) Says:

I haven’t finished a single telenovela. I like watching some usually during the first few weeks but end up not finishing any.

Q: Na,e a TV personality you have a crush on.

  13. Daphne Says:

Hmm I would say Dr McDreamy but it has been a while since I’ve seen any new episodes of GA.

How many hours of the day do you spend watching TV?

  14. Jet Says:

depends on whether I’m working or not but would usually be between a quick 15-mins. to a whole afternoon where I drift in and out of sleep and the TV would still be on

Have you ever liked a show so much that you got the DVDs from season 1 to the final episode? If so, what show is it?

  15. dyanie Says:

can it be local? I am a fan of Maging Sino Ka Man teleseryes. :) And I have the complete DVD volumes, 1-15! :)

Question: What TV show/program usually consumes your day during your childood?

  16. Meeya Says:

i would have to say, the telenobelas (no wonder i am so melodramatic now, haha!), variety shows (eat bulaga, student canteen, germspecial, superstar), sampaguita movies (those black and white old movies sa ch9), and talk shows (see-true!) were my staples in childhood. we only had one tv then and my aunts and lolas (who lived with us back then) as well as our househelp were all glued to those shows. cartoons were shown mostly on staruday and at mornings so when i get back from school, these old ladies shows are what i come home to. seeing this, it would have been better if i had just done my homework or played outside, but no. nakikinood din ako, haha!

question: how many TV sets do you own?

  17. Toni Says:

    One.

If you turn your TV on right now, on what channel is it set?
