Organizing Earrings

Hi! I am Timichu.

Hello! I am Timichu, Toni’s favorite figurine. I am here to share with you how Toni keeps her earrings organized. She used to keep all her dangling earrings in one box, so they’d always end up in tangles. Dangles in tangles! Ack. They gave her a headache. This is why she adores this earrings (and bracelet) organizer. Let me tell you about it some more!

This earring organizer is from Daiso.

This organizer is made of sturdy plastic. There are two rows of foam at the bottom, three rows for hanging, and five blunt spokes at the top, for bracelets and necklaces. Depending on each one’s length, you can fill up to 30 pairs of earrings here! But Toni hates cramped spaces, so she gives each pair of earrings a bit of breathing room too.

Just spear those hooks through the foam!

Just spear those hooks through that foam! See all that space? You can fill it with your stud earrings too. But Toni organizes her stud earrings another way. Maybe she’ll tell you about it sometime. And oh, I told Toni maybe she can just buy foam and put it in a picture frame. You know, take out the glass first. She says it’s a good idea! She’ll try it one of these days. But she’s afraid all the blank space might encourage her to buy more earrings.

This is how Toni organizes her dangling earrings.

So this is how Toni organizes her earrings. And oh, you know what the best thing is? These organizers cost only P55 each at Daiso. She went to the Daiso store in Shoppesville, Greenhills. There are LOTS of good buys there she says, but this earrings organizer was her absolute fave.

You can hang short necklaces, bracelets and anklets at the top. Depending on the size of the earrings, you can hook about 6 pairs per foam. P55 per organizer only! At Daiso.

I hope this gives you some ideas on how to organize those earrings! Maybe you can share how you organize your earrings? Let us know! This is Timichu, signing off.

My sister and I use silk screens to hang our earrings on. Just like the foam, you spear the hooks on the screen. Silk screens are available in National Bookstore.

    Good idea!!! Thanks Cat.

  2. Shai Coggins Says:

I need one of these things! Funny when you mentioned the picture frame idea in your post, I was actually thinking of the same thing. Maybe one of these days, I’ll give it a go.

Let me know how it goes! I’m hesitant to try it because all the blank space will really make me think of wanting to fill it up. Nuninuninu…

  3. jenb Says:

That’s a lot of earrings! I keep my jewelry in those plastic organizers for pills. :)

I tried that! The dangling ones wouldn’t fit though. But I agree, they make for great storage for those studs!

  4. dhey Says:

my sister keeps them on the lips of mugs, where her lipstick and eyeliners are, too. :) she doesn’t have more than a dozen pairs though. :D

Ah, yes! Nice way to give that mug lots of purposes!

  5. odette Says:

wonderful ideas! painted and framed chicken wire will also do. ;-)

    Oooh! Nice, odette!

  6. Lissa Says:

Cute naman!! Hey I hope to catch you online one of these days so we can talk Twilight. :)

Yes! I haven’t talked Twilight to anyone in ages!

  7. MarysMom Says:

Timichu, Toni sure got a lot of earrings! Tell her that I only have a few pairs and they are mostly studs so I keep them in a big jewelry box along with my other jewelry. Nice to meet you, though! Hope we see you again some other time, why not show us what Toni’s bathroom look like?

Hi Mary’s Mom! Toni gets earrings a lot for presents, and so most of the earrings here were special gifts from family and friends. And about the bathroom, Toni might break me in two if I so much as take a picture of her bathroom door so I don’t think that’s happening anytime soon. :D Heehee.

sha travels a lot…. so space is a prob so she keeps her earrings in small silk pouches she gets from the chinese shops….

    Picture picture Sha!

  9. ganns Says:

I keep my earrings in a little plastic bag. I should get one of these, kahit apat pa lang ang sets ng hikaw ko.

Get some for your wife? ;)

  10. caryn Says:

hey toni! so you’re an earring fanatic too. hehehe. i have an organizer just like yours but in black; but as my collection continues to multiply (much to the consternation of the hubby), i’m trying to find something else. odette’s chicken wire idea will do nicely i think; i can also hang my sunglasses there!

The silkscreen idea of Cat’s is also great! I just checked out one at the local supplies store, but my my, all that blank space might make me want to buy more pairs of earrings. :P Perhaps if I accumulate more earrings, I’ll go for the silkscreen and chickenwire idea. ;)

Hello, Timichu! I’m not much of a dangly earring girl (got an autistic son who likes to swallow them whole) but I do like little Japanese dolls like yourself. Do you have a sister? :-)

Toni, great idea on the organizer! The earrings look very, uhm, organized. Will you share with us your thoughts on how to organize the organizers? I’m running out of closet and dresser space!

Hi Kittymama! I have plenty of sisters! But they have all been left behind in a Vietnam figurine store. :D
    - Timichu

Interesting question! How do I organize my organizers? They’re just all side by side, nothing special. :P

  13. Kay Says:

Mine is in a chicken wire screen with violet woods to frame it up.

  14. watson Says:

Makikiraan lang po sa girl talk nyo to say “thanks Toni!” for visiting my blogs! :-)

  16. denden Says:

i’ve been looking for something like that in a long time. i have one for bracelets and necklaces but not for earrings.

I’m finding that it’s really helpful. I’ve used some earrings recently that I haven’t been using in ages because I couldn’t see them. Out of sight, out of mind right? This organizer helps with that.

  17. Gracey Says:

That’s pretty and organized! I organize mine the classic way. Jewelry boxes. But I have each of them packed in zip-locked plastic bag or organza. :)

My stuff aren’t precious enough to be in jewelry boxes. *L* That organza tip is love!

  18. tin Says:

wow, daiso in manila! :) i have mine in a jewelry box although my earrings are mixed with necklaces, bracelets so not really organized. hmm, i think i’ll give your commenter’s idea a try.. put them in organza or mini zip-lock bags.

    cute ni timichu!

    Thank you! :D

hhhmmm, its hard to describe, but i bought my sisters that hanging placemat with holes. ganun din the concept, so she can hang her gazillion dangling earrings ;)

look also at clerk.multiply.com for other organizing stuff for sale :)

Ah yah! I know that placemat. Nice one!

  20. ayen Says:

i made one of this. i used a thick paper (in between a bond paper and a cardboard), manually placed small holes in it and clipped the paper to a lampshade i no longer use. hmm, but next time i’m at greenhills, ill definitely be checking the store you mentioned. :)

That’s so creative of you! :) Great idea!

  21. tammy Says:

Wow! Will visit Daiso this weekend. Where exactly in Shoppesville is it? =)

    Near Giordano!

  22. Leah Says:

Those are such nice collection of earrings, plus its so visual, you can decide right away which one to use. I think I’ll try organizing mine that way. Do you have a solution for necklaces? I have this big jewelry cabinet and it houses my kikay knick knacks but somehow, i manage to mess it up all the time.

Leah, exactly! In the past week, I’ve worn earrings I haven’t worn in over a year simply because I couldn’t find them. Now that they’re exposed, I can get to use them more. For necklaces, I have an organizer but it doesn’t seem to be working well for me yet. I’ll give you a heads up when I’ve found one that works for me.

  23. Pat Says:

i use those small plastic boxes with lots of tiny drawers. i just plunk my earrings into one of the empty drawers so it keeps them dust free too. the bad side is when i’m searching for a particular pair of earrings and i have to open all the drawers. hee hee

I have those small plastic boxes with tiny drawers too! That’s where I keep my studs. :D But yes, it gets to be a hassle when you have to open all the drawers to search for a specific pair. Haha!

  24. jeanny Says:

wow you got great selection of earrings. inggit ako. I only have few and Im only wearing this silver earring lagi. So sa daizo mo cya nabuy. hmmmm magaya ka nga. thanks for sharing….

I so love organizers talga. They are hot stuffs keeping your things neat. organizer rules…

Yup, organizers are great. Especially this one. I heart it. :D

  25. abbee Says:

    cute earrings!!! cuter doll!!! :P

    thanks abbee! :)

  26. Rachel Says:

hi ate toni! nice naman ang organize pati mga earrings naka-ayos ng mabuti, mas okey talaga yung ganyang naka-hang atleast hindi sila magkakabuhol buhol with other pair. ;p

Hi Rach! Oo nga nagkakabuhol kasi mga hikaw ko dati, minsan tuloy nawawala ang kapartner. Sayang naman. :( Buti na’ng nakikita ko sila!

  27. Miss B Says:

love the organiser! lover the earrings more :) very nice collection there toni!

    -B xox

Thank you Miss B! I love my earrings. :D

  28. Rach (Heart of Rachel) Says:

Hi Toni. Timichu is sooo cute!

What a nice coincidence that we have the same organizer. I LOVE your earring collection. Very nice! I only have a few dangling earrings but I want to buy more. Before I was so conscious because my ears are a bit big and thought dangling earrings make them look bigger. However, when my cousin gave me a pair, it made me open to the idea of wearing more dangling earrings.

Dangling earrings are lovely! The right kind can help shape your face and bring out facets of your personality. ;)

  29. chicdecor Says:

Gorgeous! I use a large satin covered chocolate box I was given that has the top as an individually separated compartments type deal and then the bottom is a pull out drawer. But if you don’t want to spend money on an organizer, if you eat eggs, just cut the egg carton in half (a cross section cut) and then put it in a top drawer. Now you have lots of compartments for earrings, necklaces, earrings and even pendants!

That’s a very interesting suggestion! You can paint the egg carton too to make it more attractive. Thanks for the tip!
