like twinkling stars and supernovas
with ribbons of sparkling blue and white

For the new year, I hope you sparkle
unearth the gems inside of you
and glisten like morning dew drops

For the new year, I hope you shimmer
discover strength and voice anew
be seen, be heard, be felt

For the new year, I hope you glow
rosy cheeks, wind blown hair
with happy eyes and open arms

For your new year,
these are what I hope for.
