Twilight News: Release Date and a Rumored Edward

Breaking Dawn, the fourth installment in the Twilight series, is also said to be released in the last quarter of 2008. I’m sure the guys at Summit and Meyer’s publishers will find a good balance to the release of the 4th book and the movie version of the 1st book. Just so each is given sufficient airtime. 
We would love an influx of Twilight love but we also need to breathe!

Reasons why I like Colton Haynes for Edward Cullen:
1. He’s very handsome. Can’t deny that. And Edward was described as one who looked like a model.
2. His body is lean but looks strong. Very Edward. Jacob is the brawnier one, Edward the sleeker male. Colton’s body type looks very Edward.
3. He’s not that known.
Reason why I am apprehensive about Colton Haynes for Edward Cullen:
He’s a model. He’s had minimal acting experience (guest spot on CSI). We would want someone who can bring Edward Cullen to life not just through looks. But then again, who knows right? He probably is one helluva actor, we just don’t know it yet.

I re-read parts of Eclipse last night. I read and re-read the part wherein Edward and Jacob were talking to each other while protecting Bella in her cold slumber. Classic scene. Totally Fire and Ice. And you know whose team I’m on.

OMG!!! well i finished all three books in a week –yes, i’m a loser who could not pace herself. i literally drove to the bookstore to buy book 2 and 3 once i finished the first one. little did i know i’d have to wait almost a whole year for book 4!! gah!! i really don’t know who i could picture as edward, but certainly not hayden! gaspard is so lovely to look at though!
so are you team jacob then? new book was a bit too slow for my taste and i wish she started the whole werewolf thing earlier and brought in edward earlier.

Ah, I LOVE Colton Haynes as an Edward, but my personal fave and one who most represents what Edward looked like in my mind, is Gaspard Ulliel. OMG! I love him.
However, they have chosen Robert Pattinson as the actual Edward for the Twilight movie…sadly. I don’t feel he is up to par, and according to several message boards, there will be a lot of upset fans. Ah well, it’s not like we get to cast him. Also, Stephenie Meyer said she was pleased with Pattinson, so I guess that counts for something.
Still, Henry Cavill – yum.
I can’t wait for Breaking Dawn!!
