hey toni. i can sooooo identify about being too lazy to cook. but now that i've turned fulltime SAHM, the hubby is drooling over thoughts of me cooking stuff like callos, kare-kare, paella and other complex stuff. eep! i too have to get my cooking groove back.

as for the tuna chunks, i was just thinking about that the other day (it's on my menu!). saute lots of garlic and onions in butter. quickly throw in the tuna, add kikoman and pepper to taste. i will try mirin in it next time too. serve with stirfried carrots, togue and wombok.

Sounds simple and exotic. A very Asian dish. Thanks Mama Ree!!!

Pasta din suggest ko pero mine's cold Pasta sort of salad.

I usually use canned tuna. Flake the tuna if you can.. or just plain grill/pan fry it madali na sha i-flake from there.

Mix Mayo, button mushrooms, pineapple chunx with juice, celery & Carrots... add the tuna and cooked pasta (the non-noodle types :p). some ground pepper if you fancy it. chill before serving.

Sometimes i add black olives before serving.. and place it on a bed of lettuce para healthier. :)
you can keep this in your fridge for as long as a week so no need to "cook for two" :)

Sarap naman! Thank you super, for these great recipes! :)

Hi toni girl! You can caramelize onions, add garlic to it, cook for about 3 minutes or until garlic is done then add the tuna and some soy sauce, cook for another 3 minutes. Add bochoy cut into thin strips. DO NOT ADD WATER, cover and simmer for 2 minutes or until bokchoy is wilted. Josh and i love this. This is better with fresh salmon. Flake the salmon in the pan then add the bokchoy. yummy!

You're the best Auntie Nini!!! Thanks!!! Mwah mwah mwah.

wow naunahan ako ni queensb, i was also thinking tuna pasta hehe. i'm with you on the cooking-for-two-so-take-out-na-lang. katamad talaga minsan. tapos sometimes, i end up with 6 portions (wrong tancha) hehe. bad part is, i almost always end up eating the 4 leftover portions for the next few days, hehe.

anyway, i'm in a cooking rut too. hopefully, once we move to an apartment with a real kitchen, i'll get back in the groove na rin. :)

I know about the 4 leftover portion and eating it for a whole week!!! Nakakasawa. Hehehehe. Well... here's to us getting out of our cooking ruts!!

Tuna pasta! Very easy. Saute few cloves garlic in olive oil, add tuna and toss, add capers (optional), and some anchovies (half a can -- I mash the anchovies so it becomes unrecognizable and the anchovy haters don't know any better). Throw in pre-cooked al dente egg noodles (or any "small" pasta like bows, ziti, etc., not "long" pasta like spaghetti or linguini). Add more olive oil as needed, and season with pepper and parmesan cheese. Instant meal in just the time it takes to boil the pasta plus five minutes!

QueensB: That sounds positively DELICIOUS!!! Thank you for sharing!
