Kristen Stewart is Bella in Twilight movie
It’s REALLY happening, Twilight fans. The movie is really in the works! The lead character of the series, Bella Swan, has been cast. Actress Kristen Stewart is Bella.
Stewart has starred in a lot of movies. Among them are Panic Room, Into the Land of Women, Zathura, Fierce People, Into the Wild. Her filmography looks pretty impressive.
Read the press release in Stephenie Meyer’s site. Check out Stewart’s pic in that announcement. I’m loving it! It’s set against greens too. Imagine it’s the Hoh Rainforest and she is BELLA.

Yey! It’s really gonna happen!
Even though I was really rooting for Aussie actress Emily Browning for the lead role, I must admit that Kristen Stewart as Isabella Swan won’t be that bad at all. She has that every girl quality that Bella possesses (as Stephenie Meyer described in the book) plus she has the acting chops. I’ve only seen Panic Room but she did good in that film!
Now, for more important matters: the casting for EDWARD CULLEN!!!
Hope they don’t screw it up!

she doesnt scream Bella for me. She looks like she can handle everything herself with out edwards help when Bella needs to look like she depends on him. And I agree, Stephenie was mad when she wrote the comment. You can tell by her use of words. Emily Browning would have been perfect ahhhhh well if they screw edward up 2 im going to be incredibly angry!

Haven’t read New Moon yet – because it’s always out of stock, argh! – and I can’t read Eclipse because I haven’t read New Moon.
So now I’m contenting myself with the first chapter of Midnight Sun.
I am SO into Edward. (sigh)
I agree that Kristen Stewart is a good choice, although I was rooting for Emily as well.

Maybe you should give Kristen Stewart a chance. I’m sure that you probably didn’t think Emily Browning for the part of Bella. The studio just gave out her name as a POSSIBILITY and many people (like myself even) were desperate to find out who would play Bella. Since they gave her out as the first and only option, many people have stuck with it. Certainly not this big of a group of people can choose the same actress. I’m sure they wouldn’t have picked Kristen Stewart if they weren’t SURE and haven’t THOUGHT through it carefully enough. Bella is a fictionaly character and they can’t choose everyone’s exact picture of Bella but they’re trying awfully hard to come close. I guess you should see the movie before you judge if she would fit it or not. But that might prove difficult for some people because they might be biased. And also, I don’t know if Stephenie Meyer actually spoke the words aloud in an interview or some sort, but I only read her words from her site and I can’t actually judge from typed words if she is angry or not. Well, I’m just excited to see how the movie will come out. And instead of insulting it and saying it will be horrible, I will hope for it to come out well.

I’m kind of irritated that they’re turning Twilight into a movie.
I don’t think it will matter who they choose for the actors, they won’t ever do justice to book.
Bella has so many thoughts and emotions that are just private, how are you supposed to portray those in a movie? I won’t ever see Twilight, because the movie won’t even hold a candlestick to the book and that will ruin the book for me.

kristen stewart isnt the first person who came to mind when i thought of an actress to bella, but she does have some of bella qualities! i actually thought of rachel hurd wood when i thought of bella, she looks like i pictured her! as for edward, im not sure there are los of nice looking guys, but edward is a hard one to picture when im readng the books! well, im sure they will do a great job picking out the characters for the up and coming movie…. i hope!

OMG!!!! on IMDb message board there is this rumor that channing tatum is going to play edward, now i think he’s cute enough to play a jock in she’s the man and a dancer in step up, but i do not think he is cute enough to play edward! GOOD thing it’s no true, i hope! but there is someone else that was rumored to play edward on the message board that i do not think is cute at freakin all!!!! his name is tyler hoechlin, he’s martin on 7th heaven, and im not so sure that one is a rumor…. sad:( newho, i looked at a couple of pics of kristen stewart today, and shes not that bad…. i guess. i mean she doesnt look like bella’s description in the least, but to others she may! i wish drew fuller was a few years younger, because honestly he is the only one i can think of as edward, drew is beautiful! neway, hopefully we find out soon, and can only hope to not be disappointed!

I’m not saying i don’t like Kristen Stewart its just that she seems so tough and able to take care of herself and Bella’s not. So basically, as for Kristin not being able to play vulnerable Bella, HELLO?! anyone ever seen “Speak”(which is also a book-turned-movie). Kristin is an amazing actress and I’m sure she’ll do Bella justice. As for all the Edward suggestions, have any of you read the book?! Edward is supposed to look 17 and he’s definately NOT a brunette. All these guys you are suggesting have dark eyes and hair and look way to freakin old to be 17. Even though I’ll probably criticize the movie to bits, I still can not wait for the movie to come out. The Twilight Series is my favorite series of all time (and I’m a total Jacob Black fan), and I think it will be fun to sit down and watch someone else’s take on the book. If I don’t like it-tough-I can make my own movie in my head while I re-read the books for the zillionth time. A ton of movies are made into books, but this is one that definately deserves it.I can not wait to see who Edward is, even though I’m a total Jacob-drooler. I won’t be satisified until New Moon is a movie

i wasnt suggesting that i thought robert pattison should play edward, go to stephenie’s home page, that’s who they got to play edward! summit entertainment announced it three days ago! and as for the whole thing about edward not looking like any of the suggestions anyone put out there, dont worry its hollywood, that’s what makeup and hair dye is for! im sure that they will make everyone they cast look just as they should! and under robert pattison’s pic on the bottom stehenie seemed to be very happy with who they got to play edward! i like kristen stewart, she is very young and already such a great actress, i think she will do bella justice also! ive never seen speak, when they announced who was going to be playing bella i went to see who kristen stewart was, and i read about the movie speak, it looked like something worth reading and watching. newho, robert pattison is the offical edward!

The person who is going to play Edward is Robert Pattinson. If you don’t know who he is he was in Harry potter and the goblet of fire. At the end he is the one who dies. Not my favorite person for the role but I can get over it. It would have been really wierd if they found someone who looks like my Edward. As for Kristen Stewart I think she is a good choice for Bella. She is a really good actress and will do just fine.

OMG!!! Are you guys joking??? Robert Pattinson for the part of Edward. Edward is suppose to be this in-humanly beautiful guy who can make your heart melt with just one look… Ok i admitte that there isn’t anyone in the world that can fit the perfect description for Edward but im sure they can do sooo much better. When i thought of Edward i always kinda pictured Chance Crawford. I think he’s gorgouse and would fit the part of Edward pretty well. I just hope that the hair and make-up people can do a good job of at least making him look better. As for bella sure Kristen Stewart doesnt really fit her discription. She looks independent and like she can kick someones a** if anyone messes with her and bella is suppose to be gentel and delecate… Im a little disappointed but i guess i always knew that the book was gonna be better then the movie. But ima watch it regardless. i jus REALLY hope that the actors do a good job…

Robert Pattinson as Edward is absolutely perfect casting. He’s just beautiful. He’s got those great eyebrows that can make him look slightly dangerous if need be. I just watched Goblet of Fire (to refresh my memory) and he definitely looks like he could play a vampire. Trivial things like hair/eye color are no big deal (even though, in Goblet of Fire, his hair does look reddish-brown).

Check out disk 2 in Harry Potter Goblet of Fire. I enjoyed Robert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory in the movie – even better than the character that I loved in the book – brilliant job. The second disk gives cast interviews etc and you get a better idea of what he’s like. Super charming, great hair (bronzy from what I could tell), a great smile, great voice. I can totally see it. I think he will be perfect and wasn’ totally convinced initally….looking forward to it.
Kristen Stewart will be great as well, though I think Pattinson’s performance will either make or break the movie. I think he’s up to the challenge.

i agree with dissapointed!!! Robert Pattinson is, in my opinion, not gorgeous, good looking, and mysterious at all!!! Edward is suppose to be gorgeous, the way bella describes him in the book!!! As for kristen stewart, she is perfect, better than Emily Browning! U rock kristen! Here are my ideas for the characters: edward- jackson rathbone, drew fuller, tom sturridge, logan lerman; jacob black- tyler posey: Carlisle- maybe hayden christensen; Alice- rachel leigh cook(she would be perfect!!!); emmett- daniel cudmore; laurent- ewan mcgregor; jaspar- trent ford; rosalie- gosh she better be pretty!!! she is hard to find. Maybe olivia wilde, but i doubt it she is as close as i can think.???? But i already think they ruined the part for edward!!! i am dissaponted!!!

At first I was a little disappointed in the pick for edward (Robert Pattinson) but after I watched the movie he played in (Harry Potter 4) and read the twilight series books over and over again, I finally accepted his image as edward as close as it gets to the image in my head of edward.
As for bella, I think Kristen Stewart fits the part. I’ve seen most of her movies and I think her looks are close to the image of bella I have in my mind. I can’t wait for the movie to come out! And the fourth book to the twilight series (breaking dawn)!

Since Edward is so hard to cast I think they did an ok job.Robert Pattinson kinda looks 17:/i’m a little dissapointed Emily Browning didn’t get casted for Bella but I think Kristan Stewart will do a good job. I’ll be checking the internet constantly now for the rest of the casting list. Now i just hope Rachel Leigh Cook gets the role for Alice! Can’t wait for December!

I personally really love the idea that Robert Pattinson will be playing Edward, because he’s absolutely adorable, and he really won me over with his role as Cedric Diggory. Although I really did want Henry Cavill to get it (sucks he’s too old), because he’s exactly how I pictured Edward to be when I first read the books. I think Kristen Stewart will be a great Bella, because although she may not look like ‘Bella’, she does fit the character well. I also really want Rachel Leigh Cook to be Alice, because she’s just so ‘Alice’.
Yay for Robert Pattinson! I really look forward to seeing how they make him into ‘Edward’. It’s gonna take some killer contacts and some kind of hair dying genius (or a REALLY convincing wig haha). But I can so see him being the most gorgeous guy in Forks. =D

I never really liked the idea of Emily Browning as Bella, though. Although I would’ve liked to see her play the part, I think she has such unique and beautiful features that she wouldn’t be able to capture the ‘ordinary’ side of Bella very easily.

Hm…well personally i think Kristen Stewart is a pretty good choice. I’ve seen panic room, and a few of her other films; she defiantly can act. I was edging toward Emily Browning, because she had the entire look; but Kristen Stewart fits the description too. Than theres Robert Pattinson, whom i adored in Harry Potter, but came to consider his role in Twilight. After all, Edward is important! But when you think about it, – and consider this very carefully – he actually is right for the part. He has the jaw line, and cheek bones; and defiantly is gorgeous. You can color his hair if you must, and give him topaz/golden contacts to pull off those’s “edwardish eyes.” So, in my opinion he is a good choice.
However, what puzzles me is the ACCENT; after all our Edward is from Chicago. I’m sure though, whoever considered Robert Pattinson did think of the accent. I’ve seen many actors who’ve been able to change their accent, so i’m sure he can too^^
*Remember, Stephenie Meyer will be strict on casting too, so who ever is chosen to play will have to meet her expectations too. I, personally, am also looking forward to Carlisle, Jacob, and Jasper:)

I can’t wait till this movie comes out! To all the nay sayers in regards to Robert Pattinson as Edward, I couldn’t disagree more…that man it utterly beautiful, and while I was iffy about Kristen Stewart being cast as Bella I am now a fan. I think these two could really pull it off. Kudos to the casting directors! Can’t wait to see who will be cast as Jacob, that will be a toughie…but those other two-namely Edward-….ahhhhh…just can’t wait. He’s perfection!

I cant belive they chose her over Emily. Emily is the person who should be playing Bella. There is no doubt that Kristen is a good actress but she looks nothing like bella and i dont think this part is right for her. She is more of an “adventure” actress. shes the one whos tough, Bella is fragile and i think that she shouls NOT play her. Give emily the roll, she deserves it. Emily is the true Bella.

okay so i dont know why everyone has a big fuss about the actors and actresses they would not have picked them if they did not think that they were the best for the parts…personally i think that they will do great although they have some pretty big shoes to fill. for bella i think that kristen stewart is going to act it out very well but as for the looks i think that Emily would have been better but non the less kristen was a good choice. for edward i think that robert will do a good job as edward due to his past acting skills. and yes the accent will be a bit of a problem however i think that maybe the accent might put a little more of an interesting edge to the movie, and plus edward has been around for what 80 years dont you think that 80 years is long enough to learn how to put an accent on his vouice. maube that is what the directors are going for. well all-in-all i think they did an excellent job on casting the actors and actresses for the movie. here is a list of the other actors and actresses:

Well I personally hope that the Twilight movie sticks to the book. I positivly hate it when a movie based on a book is made and it doesn’t follow the book at all!! That just makes me so mad! Anyway… I don’t know why people are making such a fuss over the actors! I really hope that it was just the picture and that they look better in the actual movie! And what is this talk of Kristen being too “tough” to be Bella? Kristen has just portrayed a tough girl, that doesn’t mean she is one! And besides, have you met and spoken to her? I think not. So don’t make judgements about people you don’t even know! I also am reading complaints about Robert’s accent. As an actor I am sure he can act with an american accent! I have personally seen movies where a foriegn actor has faked an american accent! So it is not impossible so stop complaining! And on the subject of age..well Edward is nearly a hundred and ten years lod, so it makes sense for him to look older than seventeen.(even though he doesn’t age!) So stop giving Robert such a hard time! At least be happy that Kristen really is seventeen!

Kristen Stewart will make a perfect Bella. I wish I could have, lol, but I’m very happy with their choice. Robert Pattinson is beyond perfect for Edward and extremely happy they picked him. But the other actors are confirmed as rumos I really don’t want to see Nikki Reed in it. She looks like she has an attitude problem.

I noticed that Rosalie has a bit of an attitude problem in the book so if Niki Reed has a bit of an attitude problem, she’ll be perfect for Rosalie!:-)

Ok..saw the pics for the Cullen family. I’m not really on board with Peter Facinelli playing Carlisle. Never really been a fan of his. Loved your pick for Carlisle…Simon Baker. He would have been perfect. Is the guy playing Jasper wearing a wig in the fam pic? He looks better in his press photos. He’s not as tall as I pictured Jasper. I did completely agree with Elizabeth Reaser being cast as Esme. She seems perfect for the character. The biggest disappointment I had was Alice. Alice is a major character in the book, and she has to be very special. They needed to pick someone who can capture Alice’s grace and “other-ness”. She is a singular girl. I kind of pictured a young Winona Ryder (I know, that’s asking waaaay too much!) I guess physically she fits the character (petite, pixie-like). We’ll just have to see. Still super excited about the movie!! Can’t wait.

OMG i cant wait for the movie to come out!!! I think that Kristen Stuart is perfect for the part of Bella, though i could do way better, but i dont know that Robert Pattison was a total wrong choice for Edward. They could have found someone WAY cuter. Though, im glad they finally revealed Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, hes pretty cute. I think that Jackson Rathbone was kinda cute, except for the hair. I think that Ashley Greene as Alice is perfect. Im also glad that Kellan Lutz is Emmett. All in all, i think that all the actors will work good.

Well for my opinion i think they should find someone else that look better than Robert Pattinson I guess Steven Strait can be Edward, thats just my opinion.

Well I must say Steven Strait would make a great Edward, but he looks a little old to be him. I mean, I’ve heard people complain about Robert’s age and I can only think that they’d go on and on about how Steven is too old. I think everyone will just have to accept that no living human could possibly live up to everyone’s expectations of what Edward should look and act like. So people, please, just save your complaints about the casting choices untill you’ve actually seen the movie!

i’m really glad that Robert is playing Edward, that’s who i’ve always thought of when i read the books. i think he’s gorgeous and i loved him as Cedric in Harry Potter. i don’t, however, like the boy who is playing jacob, come on, there are plenty of hotter guy out there .
