Where’s the party?

Over here! I had so much fun with these same balloons last year, so I’m doing this same activity again. My birthday isn’t till Monday, but let’s start the celebration today!
Pick a balloon. Now imagine that you’re flying into the blue horizon with that balloon in hand. Whoosh! Isn’t that fun? I’m following you, holding on to my gold balloon. Gold is for the celebrant, and it is my golden birthday after all.
You have to tell the balloon where to take us. We are celebrating my birthday together and it’s up to you to choose where we are celebrating my 30th year. You have to pick an interesting place otherwise the balloons won’t move. They’re kinda picky like that.
So… where do we go for my birthday?

I pick the following balloons …
yellow ~~ to take us to a field of sunflowers to give us that cheerful boost
green ~~ to bring us to all the places you have always desired to go to
blue ~~ to bring us up into the clouds where you blow wishes in the wind
purple ~~ to take us to the secret land of sweets where we can have our fill of all the delicious desserts we can think of without gaining a single pound
red ~~ to bring you back home to the arms of your loved ones
Wishing you an advance Happy Birthday Toni!

I pick a red balloon because it’s nice and festive, and because I’m wearing gray today. A red balloon would give us a nice splash of color.
Even though it’s your birthday, I want to share with you a little bit of myself, so let’s ask the balloon to take us to one of my dream destinations, Japan. I’ll have it take us to Roppongi to feast omakase (chef’s choice) at one of the super high end sushi restaurants, to an authentic onsen / hot spring, to a summer festival (it’s still summertime there, methinks), Osaka to eat street food like takoyaki, Akihabara to buy electronics and toys for souvenirs and wherever there’s a Daiso because I know you’ll let me shop for bento supplies since we’re there anyway. Heehee. After this, you’ll either be sick of Japan, or you’ll be as fascinated by the land as I am. I hope it turns out to be the second
Happy Birthday! (and here’s the hopia from my keycode
)
