The results have been posted. The New 7 Wonders of the World are:

  1. Chichen Itza, Mexico
  2. Christ Redeemer, Brazil
  3. The Great Wall, China
  4. Machu Pichu, Peru
  5. Petra, Jordan
  6. The Roman Colloseum, Italy
  7. Taj Mahal, India

Read about each one at n7w. The winners were announced last 07.07.07. Have you been to any one of these 7 wonders yet?

Now what about 08.08.08? The same organizers are launching the search for The New 7 Wonders of Nature – natural sites, monuments or landscapes that are not man-made. Submit your nominations through their site.

Sounds like a beautiful homage to the ultimate Creator too, doesn’t it?

    I’ve been to Petra, Jordan, the Colosseum in Rome and the Taj Mahal in Agra, India. :)

    Hanggang finalist lang ako. Never been to any of the New 7 but would love to go..most of all Machu Pichu. Dream ko yan.

    I’ve seen Eiffel, Kiyomizu, and Liberty. Next year, Ankor is in the works. Tara na biyahe tayo..Mali, pang-Pinas pala yun :)

    All the nominated wonders of the world are beautiful…awesome!!! I’m starting to wonder when I’ll be able to visit [even only] some of them…

    waaah… i still insist on having the rice terraces included. and egypt’s pyramids… and the kremlin! *sigh* i guess it’s too late for me. :( too bad i don’t agree with all the results.

    Mae: the banaue rice terraces was never part of the previous list.
    dhey: the pyramids in egypt are honorary members of the list. they will forever be included in the list, aside from the new 7.
