It has been a long time coming. It seems like it started to get better for most users around Friday last week. I do not know though if there was really any effort on the part of Globe Telecom or if they just waited for the market to de-congest itself and increased the rates to discourage new subscribers. I do hope that the internet service providers do clean something to stop the seemingly unending complaints about slow speeds, after all they sell us based on speed. I posted an article in my blog, comparing Globe Telecom HSDPA rates as against the same services abroad, and even the higher rates are lower than what you would be charged for a metered (1GB per month) HSDPA connection. The need to make products "affordable" would have an effect on the quality of service. It is a difficult balance. I am glad to here that your ordeal is finally over. It has been a long time coming. I've been a Globe DSL subscriber for years and despite the recent backlash about their service, I'm still sticking to them because it's still relatively better than PLDT myDSL, as my boyfriend, a myDSL subscriber (not by choice but because it's the only company servicing his area) attests. Although I do hope Philippine DSL companies clean up their act. While I see some effort from Globe, I can't say much about PLDT. That’s good to hear.
