kundol -ginagwa ba talaga itong candy? masarap ba?? san free taste?!
patola – wag ng PATOLAn pa!

singkamas – ranch dressing with cayenne pepper — a mexican appetizer
at talong – torta!!!
sigarilyas – i love this just guisado
at mani – freshly boiled
sitaw – sa pakbet
bataw – yummmm….. ginataan, with luya, lots of garlic, and bagoong
patani – eh. this is not one of my favorites. pero okey na sa soup
kundol – my dh loves this! i don’t. he likes it candied.
patola – with ground pork, and maybe misua.

sigarilyas – sa Pinakbet ng GI (genuine Ilokano)
at mani – Growers
sitaw – adobo

patani – we used to pick these off the vine, take out from the pods, and fry! ang sarap
kundol – my sis attempted to make kundol candy.. LOL disaster
patola – ginisa with misua; madami nito dati sa garden ni Lolo

sigarilyas – haven’t tried this one yet
at mani – roasted with garlic
sitaw – mixed with kalabasa, shrimps and coconut milk
bataw – i have yet to discover this
patani – with sotanghon
kundol – hmmm … don’t know what it looks like
patola – loofah also came to mind

Well, I don’t really cook so the first thing that popped in my head after each vegetable was a blank… except for patola. For some reason, a batuta (policeman’s baton) came into mind! Hahahahahaha! Oh, and they should change the title of the song to “Ang gulayan.” (is that what you call a vegetable garden?) Oh, and like you, I liked playing the game “bahay kubo” as well even though we rarely get to finish the entire song!
