Your final link, goes to a description of a kumquat, but you said it's a kiat-kiat.?? Anyway, that is actually kumquat, a kiat-kiat is like a miniature ponkan, you can't eat the rind. Kumquat is eaten, whole. kumquat is great to use for desserts.

they're not kumquats! i just got back from San Francisco and bought two kilos of kumquats from the organic market. kumquats are like kalamansi with subdivisions inside and big seeds. the rind is just like kalamansi except that it's orange. also, they're so sour like kalamansi. so i'd go with two of the commenters that said they're kiat kiat. of course, i've never seen nor eaten kiat kiat. but those are definitely NOT kumquats.

I love kumquat esp. if I find a sweet batch. It's so convenient to eat and my son likes it too.

Aaah. So that's what a kumquat looks like. I've been hearing all about that in Nickelodeon's All That, in the crazy taxi driver scene. Haha, wait, you can eat the skin?
