The Pot of Gold’s Right Here

The Pot of Gold's Right Here

Here’s the deal with Manila. I hate the traffic. EDSA is hell especially on weekends, when the usual three lanes becomes two because of construction going in the middle of the highway. I hate the buses that wreak havoc with their smoke-belching and insane lack of road ethics. I hate the jeepneys that stop for anything, even if the light is green or there is an “No Loading/Unloading” sign right beside them. I hate the jaywalking pedestrians who cross busy highways, so leisurely at that.

Then I come upon a peaceful moment like this. All those imperfections just melt away. The jeepneys look more colorful, the passengers looking out of bus windows more interesting, the pedestrians suddenly amusing.

Hayyy, Manila. Ibang klase ka talaga. I love you anyway.

Biglang buwelta ang post, hehehe…. When I drive, I get stressed. If only I could wish for a ban on motorcycles and jeepneys (fortunately, not much buses in Cebu)… Haay…

Manila will always have a love-hate relationship to almost everyone…whatever it is, we still consider it “home” for us… it’s a place na babalik balikan kahit once a year lang

A rainbow is a refreshing sight. It certainly helps overshadow some of the less perfect things around. What a wonderful way to greet the day. Thanks for sharing.

well, it’s not everyday you get to see a rainbow.. makes me relieved from all the stress whenever i see one. ^_^

The trick is to focus on the positive instead of the negative side of anything, be it a place, a person or even an inanimate object and that is with or without a rainbow present. :)

you know i get the same damned feeling every time i see a picture of manila’s roadways with its jeepneys and all the things that make up its vibrancy. you know what else, seeing a night shot of edsa traffic, in all its billboarded glory.

    ibang klaseng feeling talaga.
