Valentine’s Pet
“I have a surprise for you!”
H & I don’t exchange presents on Valentine’s, so imagine my surprise when he asked me to hold out my hands over dinner. Ta-da! It was a cute little Cyber Pet, think Tamagotchi. How adorable! I had one of these toys in college. In the middle of Philosophy class, I would pretend to get a notebook from my bag. Truth was I was feeding my Tamagotchi.
You can choose from three animals for this little game: a dinosaur, a bird or a dog. Since I’ve been wanting a puppy, I choose a dog and named it Ichigo, after my favorite Katamari cousin. What pet would you have chosen?
Ichigo now keeps me company at work. I was in the middle of writing an e-mail when the alert went off. Turns out he pooped! Another cool thing is if I can’t attend to it for a long period of time, I can book him into a Pet Hotel.
Before we left for work this morning, H asked me the usual questions, “Do you have your cell phone? Your keys?” And then he added, “Do you have your dog?” Hehe. I’m taking care of two pets now! My sweet husband and a cute pixelized puppy.

How cute! I didn’t have the chance to own one like this before.
I would’ve chosen a dog too, but if there was a choice to have a cat, I’d get that. 
Oh, and that Pet Hotel is a new thing, right? I remember the old ones I used to borrow from my friends, where the pets get sick after not being attended to for a long time. ^^;

What a cute gift. Your husband is very thoughtful. I’ve never had one but many of my friends did. I think it’s really nice. I would have chosen a dog too. I like the added feature … pet hotel… now that’s cool.

i wanted to have this toy when i was in high school..but i can’t afford it, huhu..then when i graduated from college, i bought a real pet (a shih tzu) hhihihi.
but i still want to have this cause i can bring it anywhere, hihi

oh, i love the tamagotchi. My daughter asked for one 2 Christmases ago. I bought one a few weeks later for myself. Ha!ha! Sabi ko so her pet can have a friend. Truthfully, I was addicted to it for a month or so. And now its somewhere inside a box waiting to be awakened a again with new batteries.
