A Bit Crazy for Crazy Crepes

Here’s a good place to get dessert — Crazy Crepes at the Ground Level of the new Virra Mall in Greenhills. The mock-ups of the different crepe servings caught my attention. It was like a mini-wax musuem of crepes. Each mock-up had the name of the crepe, a quick description of what was in it, and the price. The combinations are nothing outrageous but interesting nonetheless.
H got the Banana Rocky Road Crepe. It has a huge scoop of rocky road ice cream, bananas, nuts, chocolate syrup and marshmallows. He was super happy with his choice! He loved it so much he forgot to offer me a taste. Hee hee. I ordered the Banana Nutella Crepe. This one had bananas, Nutella spread, and whipped cream. I wasn’t very happy with my choice. One, there was way too much cream. I scooped most of the cream out. Second, I could hardly taste the Nutella. Boo. Next time I’ll order something else.
Yes, there will be a next time. While my first order from them wasn’t too much fun, I am curious whether I will go ga-ga over a concoction of Crazy Crepes. That display of mock-ups sure works!

Banana Nutella crepes should be the measure of a creperie if you ask me. They are sold in the streets of Paris, even here on Fifth Avenue in New York, and selected creperies around town. If they can’t get that simple one down, it’s all fluff. I second the suggestion to just ask for extra nutella.. this is great, by the way, with sliced almonds, too. Yum!

Then you should go visit Tokyo Cafe in MOA. They have crepes there as well with different combis and its all good. Cheap too.

i’ve had a love affair with crepes ever since i ‘discovered’ them at cafe breton. i miss their crepes so much! whenever i want to indulge in some carbs and calories, more often than not i crave for some crepes.
just last thursday, i had a crepe with chocolate nutella, banana slices, mocha ice cream and whipped cream. it was so sinful that when i took my first bite i said to markie, “maybe they should call these crazy crepes”. i guess somebody beat them to that name.
