3 years!
Three years of marriage. Wow. I have to admit, it hasn’t been easy. Really. Honestly.
I still have to get used to his remote control hogging. He still has to get used to me leaving books all over the place. There are other things that can irritate one or the other — forgetting to pay the bills, misplacing the other’s eyeglasses, leaving socks on the floor, abandoning dirty dishes in the sink, stepping on a freshly mopped floor with grubby rubber shoes, forgetting about that hairbrush on the couch. Whoops.
My patience has been tested severely, as I’ve tested his. It’s not easy. But you learn. And learning from all this matters a lot.
You learn to put aside the little bad things and look at the little good things. Like tucking each other in, preparing each other’s pajamas or toothbrush every night, holding hands while sleeping, making each other laugh, cooking breakfast when the other worked overtime the previous evening, surprising each other with a hug. I don’t want to ever get used to all these. The element of surprise and constant appreciation keeps these sweet things fresh and kilig.
Learn to see the little good things together. It doesn’t count if only one sees things this way.
Three years of marriage. Wow. I have to admit, it hasn’t been easy. Really. Honestly. But really, honestly, these have been the most awesome three years of my life.

No one said married life was easy.
It is endearing to know you and your husby are sailing through the years with joy, laughter and the occasional squabbles. Good stuff!

wow, 3 years! kami nga nakaka-isang taon pa lang eh, ilang beses na nagkakapikunan.
yeah, it’s those little good things that you do for each other that counts. whispering sweet nothings in each other’s ear, having your own “lengguwahe ng mag-asawa”, tingin pa lang you understand each other na, learning to admit if you’re wrong & saying sorry, etc. the last one, ay naku, malaki naitutulong nito in forgiving & forgetting if both know when & how to say sorry.
