Home sweet home

These are a few of my favorite things upon coming home. No talk of work is allowed. No bright fluorescent lights or harsh airconditioning. No clocks ticking to a bomb of a deadline. Just pure relaxation, moving as slow as you want, feeling the warm wood beneath your feet. You take no orders from anyone but yourself. Well, that’s until your husband goes, “Can you make me a cup of tea please?” But it’s all good. It’s all part of coming home.
Aside from the love of family, what do you look forward to when going home?

Writing on my “Dear God” journal (yes, i still push pens despite the existence of technology), my couch and TV (especially Wednesdays, CSI and American Idol!), chika with mom and sister, and of course…anticipating for “last call” from Jher (cue audience: aaaaawwww!) Happy weekend, dearest! Loved your comments on the perception exercise…

the first thing i go to as soon as i get home is my bedroom and plonk myself on my bed – and have a big sigh of relief – i love my bedroom, my comfortable bed, my fabulous even lighting lamps, the books on my side table – this is my heaven – http://www.flickr.com/photos/papelpapel/104130309/in/set-1556702/
i must admit, i do make my cup of tea and just sit on my bed and sip it slowly.. pure bliss.

The bathroom! I am never comfortable in public CRs. However, if it’s residential I end up cleaning the toilet before using it. Is that wrong?! Hahaha.

I am always at home, but when I go out from chores, I like going walking through my dimly lit hallway and eventually our master’s bedroom. I like my blinds half closed and everything cleaned and neat. Its also nice to go inside a bedroom with white and freshly changed linens.
April 3rd, 2006 at 9:11 pm
Alma: That trip down the hallway sounds very relaxing! That’s a great way to slow down the pace of your day before arriving at the bedroom. It’s like your getting into the groove of finally taking it easy after a long day.
