Lessons from a Ten-Year-Old

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I didn’t want to but you asked me to.
I was too afraid to try.
But when you put your hand in mine, it told me
I would not regret that ride.

So we climbed that mountain of a slide
laughing, giggling, running up
the rubbery steps, the playful fun,
never mind if I was the only grown-up!

Shall we slide together?
Let’s! Put your hands up! Let go!
Wait a minute! I’m not ready! Okay now…
Go, go, goooooo!!!

Up and down and sideways!
Multiply this pic times five!
That’s how many times we went around
This amazing inflatable slide!

Every grown-up needs a ten-year-old
to keep her young, that’s true.
I’m so glad my little cousin
that that ten-year-old is you!

I love those things!!! There are some really great inflatable toys for children, I saw a slide like the one in your picture at the local carnival last summer.

Thanks for the link! I checked them out and the slides do look very interesting. Perhaps the fair we go to next year will have slides as impressive as the ones I saw on your site. Cheers!
