I wrote before that: “A warm bowl of Sinigang comforts me heart and soul, then kicks my senses up a wee bit with that delicate sourness. I love munching on the kangkong, tomatoes and onions, feeling little bits of gabi melt in my mouth, nibbling on the pork ribs, mixing a bit of rice in my soup and being delighted with this hearty spoonful… ah, Sinigang na Baboy is one of the best Pinoy dishes ever.” |

Can you say comfort food? The soup warms me up to my toes and the emptied soup bowls of my family warms my heart. I like how flexible this dish is too: put in carrots, garlic, pechay, eggs, saba… anything that’ll comfort you even more. |

I’m a big fan of tomato-based dishes and Kaldereta’s one of them. I like the sauce thick (c/o the liver spread). I love the mix of the tangy olives with the comforting potatoes. This is a family heritage dish and it always spreads good vibes around the dinner table. |

I like everything my Mom cooks but this is my favorite by far. The dish takes me back to summers in Boracay! When I take a bite of this sumptuous dish, I’m reminded of the breeze running through my hair, the waves crashing, the smell of the sea… It’s the quickest way to that beautiful island without having to leave your dining table. |

To-may-to. To-mah-to. However way you pronounce it, I love my pasta sauce tomato-based! Now if you add in angel hair pasta, black and green olives, capers, garlic, olive oil — tada! That’s my ultimate pasta dish. Okay throw in some little bits of pepperoni and anchovies too. Pasta paradise! |

My sister P loves to bake and I always look forward to her chocolate cupcakes. The surprise? Melted chocolate deep inside each cupcake. Sometimes it’s cream cheese. Either way, I’ve accepted that I would gain a pound or two after indulging on this sweet snack. It’s worth it! |

Sinful, sinful, sinful. But it is so good, good, good. I haven’t tried cooking this yet! I love the peanut buttery taste of the sauce and the tripe and the vegetables and the meat and the rich rich rich taste of this dish. I think I know what I’m getting for lunch at the food court. |

I LOVE adobo especially with lots of liver. I used to be scared of cooking adobo but I’ve conquered that fear. I like my Adobo now! |

It’s like Bistek Tagalog but instead of beef, you use pork! Ay sarap. I love mine with lots of sauce and onions. And then you spoon the sauce over your rice… heaven. |

But not just any pizza! I want a Thin Crust Garlic and Cheese Pizza with extra Pineapples and Anchovies. Just the right salty-sweety flavor. This is my pig-out food. |
Did you hear that rumble? That was my tummy. Whoops, sorry!
I’m tagging 3 ladies: Santos, Sha and Selina. They’re foodies! Each lady takes fabulous shots of food and writes food entries beautifully. I make sure that the lunch hour isn’t too far off when I’m visiting their blogs. I’m interested in what their top 10 food faves are.
Kainan na.
