Biscuit Break

When I was a kid, I would always notice a can full of biscuits at home. Being the curious cat that I am, I’d try every piece. Some where weird-tasting, others were yummy. The butter coconut flavored biscuit was always my favorite. Sadly there were only two of those biscuits to a can then. The rest where the usual butter cookies.
I was ecstatic when I saw this Monde Butter Coconut Biscuits at Mini Stop some months ago. It has now turned into one of my favorite merienda snacks. I love the light sugar and coconut flavor of the biscuits. It tastes every bit like the biscuits from my childhood. It’s also very reasonably priced at 10 pesos a pack.
Yummy!

Hey, I just commented on your Fat Friday post and relative to that comment of mine, let me just advise you against eating too much biscuits.
Awww shucks…. I know, party-pooper me…. Biscuits contain large amounts kasi of trans fats (the bad kind!) disguised as “hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oil”. If you don’t see these in the ingredients list then that’s fine…
Sowee, I hope I didn’t spoil anybody’s craving…

Nice to know another thing about ya!
mare : Oooh I have to try it with some spread next time!
husticia : Hahaha o kaya Sunflower?
Pao : Awww I’m glad it brought back wonderful memories!
Linnor : Thanks for the warning! Don’t worry, I eat this in moderation. I feel bad if I eat too much of it hehe.

and if I am not mistaken, most Monde products do not have (or less compared to other brands) hydrogenated fat w/c gives bad cholesterol.
