Wash and Wear

Because we don’t own a washing machine, we bring our laundry to the laundromat. Bringing our clothes to the cleaners is H’s task. He’s there so often that he’s developed a good relationship with the employees. The few times I’m there I enjoy the cold airconditioning combined with the scent of fabric conditioner. So cozy! We like the way they clean and press our clothes. See how orderly they are? And man, I love the place’s name. Imagine calling them to have your laundry delivered and hearing a voice on the other end of the line answer, “Hello! Let’s Talk Dirty!” Heehee. It makes me giggle all the time.

Ah talaga. Mas convenient nga yan. Eh how many times naman kayo mag pa laundry in a week. Me kc, I do our laundry once a week (with the help of our wahing machine, syempre) and I do the pressing na ren. Eventually, I love doing the laudry kc I love playing with the water pero I hate the pressing.
Hey, the place’s name is cool ha

LOL, that name is hilarious. I’d be laughing my buns off too if I was on the other line

jeanny: I want to do my own laundry nga but our place really doesn’t have space for a washing machine!
dexie: Hahaha witty ‘no!

i’m just curious lang, how much is a kilo of laundry if washed and pressed? here in cebu we prepay 1000 for 40kg, pero wash lang. 70/kg if wash and press.

shucks, parang indecent proposal. is the tone and articulation as suggestive? hehehehe

hopefully, we’d have a similar place nearby that we can trust, where Jojo and I will live… for heaven help me, i really doubt i’d do our laundry… and it will be the end of the world before he does it for us
August 18th, 2005 at 7:23 pm
diane: true!
linnor: Mahal ang laundry dito. Mga 35/kilo tapos separate cost ang pressing — per piece!
jojo: Hahaha hindi naman.
mec: Yea you gotta find one you can trust. Ito kasing branch na ‘to subok na namin so di kami nagpapalaba somewhere else.

just another creative way to add humor (tongue-in-cheek, though it may be) to mundane tasks such as doing the laundry. yes, that scenario would be quite funny. makes me wonder if customers lose their composure when they call the laundromat for the first time.

hehehe nice name! geeesh, i won’t be able to afford laundry service there! grabe! i do my own laundry…i enjoy sniffing the clothes fresh from the sampayan, smelling of fabric softener and sunshine! i also love playing with socks with static cling! weird ba tones? btw, got my own original (as in i checked na!) bottle of orange clean! hahaha can’t wait til saturday to do some cleaning! ;D

I wonder how many people decide on ‘talking dirty’ instead of just the usual lavanderia?!
August 19th, 2005 at 8:20 am
I also love having my clothers laundered. But with a family of 6, mom says ots not practical… sayang.
yeah, i like to Talk Dirty too!!!
August 19th, 2005 at 10:48 am
selina : hahaha that would be a nice thing to discover!
annabanana : static cling! hahaha how cool is that! hey balitaan mo ako sa experience mo with the ORIGINAL orange clean ha
Pao : Sige mamaya!
mare : Ooooh I wonder! LOL!
bea : Oo nga naman, not practical. 2 lang kasi kami and super busy pa and super liit ng living spaces eh so professional laundering is the way to go!

Hehehe. Reminds me of Petal Attraction – this flower shop near UP Village. Linnor – I pay 25 per kilo for mine and then for every 5 kilos, 1 kilo free. 65 for the press but you get P 5 back if you return all the hangers.
August 25th, 2005 at 10:33 am
Erik: Hahaha take a photo of that flower shop!!
