[...] I wrote before that: “A warm bowl of Sinigang comforts me heart and soul, then kicks my senses up a wee bit with that delicate sourness. I love munching on the kangkong, tomatoes and onions, feeling little bits of gabi melt in my mouth, nibbling on the pork ribs, mixing a bit of rice in my soup and being delighted with this hearty spoonful… ah, Sinigang na Baboy is one of the best Pinoy dishes ever.” [...]

Same here. A hot steaming bowl of sinigang, in whatever form, is my post potatoes-and-steak-from-foreign-travel solution. I have something extra though. It must be shared with a certain T. since without a blow by blow account of my most recent escapade, homecoming would be incomplete.

Finally, I'm no longer an alien to your blog. Hugs!

CG: Sinigang na Hipon is also terrific! Yum! And yes, let's meet up when you come to Manila. :)

Daphne : Hubby prefers Sinigang na Hipon also but I prefer Baboy naman!

Kala: Sinigang's one of the easiest dishes! And I'm no expert in cooking so trust me!

denden : Sinigang na Bangus with Miso and Mustasa sounds so delicious. I think I'll have that for lunch... hopefully it's available in our food court. Haha!

anna: That's a great combo!

justice : I haven't tried kinilaw na mangga yet. Masubukan nga!

Kat : Wow sarap! I like my Sinigang a bit spicy too!

jey: Mine too!

Jeanny : Magandang idea yan -- mash the boiled gabi! Thanks for that tip!

Tin : Nilagang Baka di ko pa nata-try gawin. Next project ko naman yan!

Paparazzi : I'm trying to learn how to cook the basic Pinoy dishes! Wala naman ibang magluluto sa little household namin kung hindi ako hehe. I'm having fun experimenting with all the dishes! And hmmm... why don't YOU cook for Mamarazzi? ;)

manangjoy : Best friend wavelength talaga tayo. Hehehe. Buong pack din ginamit ko. Bitin sobra pag kalahati lang!

Uyyy!!! Nagluto ng sinigang si Toni! Like you, the maasim it is, the better. Pork sinigang is also the best! I mean, yung buong pakete gagamitin - hindi kalahati. kasi I've seen that done before (by my mother in law) and I swear, kulang talaga, gusto kong budburan ng kalamansi or tamarind or kahit na ano basta umasim lang siya.
I'm happy for you Toni. thanks for the recipe... ita-try ko yan, kahit ako lang ang kakain (everybody thinks pag maasim ang soup, it's funny - at my house... inis 'noh?).

Ok na sana, pero parang kulang sa asim, eh. Hehehe.

Am happy for you, Toni. Lahat na yata ng masasarap na ulam at dessert ay alam mong ihanda na talagang sobra ang sarap! Kainggit ka! Mamarazzi does not know how to cook but she is an excellent food taster.
