The Notebook

Tuesday, December 21st, 2004

“The rough, flowing sound of sharp lead on clean, smooth paper is beautifully cathartic; the harmonious keyboard staccato strangely purifying.” — Toni the Writer
I’ve had about nine online journals, many of which no longer exist. I’ve had countless diaries. I got my first diary when I was in 5th grade. It was green and had [...]

Friends

Monday, December 20th, 2004

“Close friends…contribute to our personal pleasure, making the music sound sweeter, the wine taste richer, laughter ring louder because they are there.” –Judith Viorst
Though I meet up with my friends quite often, our Christmas get-togethers are always very special. Approximately two weeks ago, one circle of friends celebrated Christmas with a Rainbow theme. Yes, [...]

Y-O-U

Friday, December 17th, 2004

As you rush into your Christmas shopping, don’t forget about one of the most important people in your life — YOURSELF! In the flurry of this gift-giving season, we can’t help but put others before ourselves. To be selfless is a wonderful quality indeed but don’t forget that you also deserve to be generous [...]

“The more you know who you are, and what you want, [...]

These little things…

I may not have scored a perfect 10 on the different husband needs that Tin posted about but at least I know that those lack in ratings don’t compromise my being the best wifey in H’s eyes. Hehehe. I love you Husby!

Cranberry Lady

Monday, December 13th, 2004

You may now call me the walking cranberry.
I love the smell of it. I love the taste of it. I love drinking cranberry juice. I jump at the chance to eat cranberry jelly — though I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve eaten that, boo!). Is this available in local [...]

Virgin Coconut Oil

Monday, December 13th, 2004

I got a bottle of this as a present. It’s been sitting in my cupboard for quite some time now. I took it out last weekend and took a spoonful of it. Blech. I’m not too fond of it. Will it really help me lose weight? I wonder. I know that nothing’s better than a [...]

No Toaster? No problem!

I don’t have a toaster so this is how I toast my bread. I sprinkle some olive oil on the pan first and then heat the bread slices on both sides till they’re a bit browned.
The finished product! Yum! This bread fingers are especially yummy with tuna. The sauteed tuna recipe’s [...]
