michele: It was amazing wasn't it? I keep thinking this will be made into a movie someday. If ever it will be produced, I hope they keep the magic and mystery the book had!

Oh, I loved The Time Traveller's Wife. I started reading that book one evening and did not put the book down until I had read (and cried) through the final pages.

Annanymous: Heehee. Thanks for your tips too! One of the best things about blogging is learning from others. Salamat sa pagshare!

Rick: Good advice! I don't think the book is absolute and true. I'll keep an open mind till I finish it. ;) By the way, the URLs you shared don't work!

Mec: Yup those rules help us avoid any petty quarrels. Every lil bit helps!

The "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" book is, at best, pap. At worst, it's fraud and thievery. Or maybe it's somewhere in the middle — like the Lottery — preying upon the hopes and fears of the lower and middle classes.

At any rate, I'm not the only one to criticize this book (and, yes, I did read it!).

You can find more here: http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html

Several years ago, when I first bought the book (and a companion book to it, the title of which I cannot currently recall), I remember reading it and thinking, "This is crap." So I did some research on the Internet at that time and found a page which I cannot locate at the moment, or I would refer you to it. That page noted that not only was much of the "advice" in the book bad advice and based on falsehoods about finance, but the "facts" of the book were also false.

As I said, I cannot locate that page at this point, but the URL I mentioned above, plus this one — http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosakiemail.html — should give you some background should you be interested.

Frankly, you'll find some of the other fictional works you've been reading to be more interesting. ;)

toni,
thanks for visiting my site...kakatuwa naman ang 7 rules mo...me and my dh (darling husband) have this kind of arrangement too. siguro ganoon talaga especially if both of you work, kailangan mag-tulungan. ako i make it a point to go further:

laundry- whoever sorted the clothes and put them in the washer, will not be responsible for hanging them to dry.

folding clothes- whoever folds will not have to arrange them into the drawers

floors- whoever vacuums, will get to watch the other as HE mops the floor.

trash - recycle! MWF's i dispose the garbage, on other days, he will have to do it.

grocery shopping- i shop, he carries.

minor repairs- whoever broke it, will be the one responsible to call the repair guy.

bank errands- money..money..money...i handle the finances! easier that way! (hehehe..)

etc, etc...

sorry, i got carried away...feeling ko nag-blog na ako! and all i wanted to do is to express how happy i am to see another booklover! (ang layo, ano?!)

anyweyz, have a great day!
